This is the town of Chivay, located in Colca Canyon (Valle de Colca in Spanish). I think it was a 6 hour mini-bus ride from Arequipa to get to Chivay. We arrived in time for dinner. 

I got soroche (altitude sickness) that night, but luckily I was feeling better the next day.
