Cuzco as seen from Sacsayhuamán. This was the capital of the Incan Empire. For better or worse many Incan ruins have been absorbed into the city. Many buildings are built on top of Incan masonry, and Incan walls line many streets. The people who live here have not forgotten the history behind the city, and they are proud of it. |
