Sacsayhuamán

Sacsayhuamán is believed to have served as a sanctuary and a temple to the sun. The ruins are located outside of Cuzco within walking distance. Only 20% of the original structure remains as the Spanish took all of the stones they could to build Cuzco. The boulders that are left weigh up to 130 tons. |
