I'm reasonably sure that these buildings are part of the Residential Sector. They are east of the Three Doorways. The trapezoidal construction of doorways and windows is standard to all of Machu Picchu and all of the Incan ruins. This design is especially resilient to earthquakes, and provides structural strength and flexibility. |
