Trail up into the hills
Cuzco seen from horseback
Peru is beautiful. I still have vivid memories
of puffy white clouds in a gorgeous sky, and vibrant green
vegetation, even at higher elevations.
If you get a chance & you're comfortable
riding a horse, you really should go horseback riding in Cuzco.
It is a wonderful opportunity to get out of the city & see some
of the more rural parts of town. I arranged the ride through the
Hostal Loreto. I don't remember the exact price, but I
think it was $15 USD for 4 hours or so, including a guide. There
were just 3 people in our group, including the guide. The ride
started outside of town, wound through the hills &
culminated at Sacsayhuáman.
